Gordon's Christmas Program

Gordon's school Christmas program was Thursday. It isn't a church affiliated school but they do say a blessing before eating and they pleasantly surprised us when the start of the program was the children doing a nativity - it was an actual CHRISTmas program and not a "holiday program"! Each child did wonderfully and then we all sang Silent Night - then they left the "stage" and returned sans costumes but with the addition of sleigh bells and sang a couple of songs for us parents who were behaving like the paparazzi following Brittney Spears into a coffee shop! The cameras were plentiful as were the "awwww's" coming from the audience. Maybe I'm just a hyper-emotional Mom but seeing my little blue eyed boy dressed as a shepherd in his first Nativity scene caused pools of tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat.

He was not about to get too close to Santa, even with encouragement and the promise of a present. So this was our only Santa visit this year.
